Runs 125 minutes

Charlotte (Charlize Theron) is the Secretary of State and the currrent President's pick to be the next President. The only problem is that the Country doesn't find her funny enough. One night at a party, she runs into Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) an out of work journalist and someone she used to babysit when they were younger. She hires Fred to help put some humor into her speeches. Before you know it, they have developed feelings for each other. But, is the Country ready for this odd romance? And, can Fred tone down his muckraking ways to be a proper First Man if Charlotte happens to win?

This is a pretty funny movie. Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen both do great jobs. My only complaint is that the language is just terrible. This movie could have easily been PG-13 if they had just toned down the language. The ending also felt a little tacked on - like they felt the need to make sure and include people from the other side of the aisle. It all works ok. The Romance is sweet but a little hard to believe. The supporting characters are funny, especially Maggie (June Diane Raphael) and the Canadian Prime Minister (Alexander Skarsgard). It made me laugh a lot, out loud, which is good. It fits the mood of the country with the upcoming election and the film doesn't push the envelope too hard in one direction while bashing the other side. Overall, a funny movie with a cute romance. Go see it.
