On the night before one of the most important events of his career, Ivan Locke (Tom Hardy) is forced to make a life altering decision. He must abandon everything and drive to London. The movie follows him as he gets in his car and races through the night. He is forced to handle a variety of situations via his car phone. His boss doesn't understand where he is headed, his subordinates are freaking out and his wife may not want him to come back home.

In a powerhouse performance, acting against only voices on the phone, Tom Hardy really delivers. He is so engaging that you forget you are watching one person talk on a hands-free phone for the entire movie. He is mesmerizing. His face reflects everything that he is feeling as he races through the night: fear, anger, sadness and even the nagging effects of some kind of sinus problem. He is terrific and keeps the adrenaline pumping until the final conclusion. Definitely worth a trip to the theater.
