The story of the March sisters, Jo (Saoirse Ronan), Meg (Emma Watson), Amy (Florence Pugh) and Beth (Eliza Scanlen) in all of their glory. Living a pleasant life with their mother Marmee (Laura Fern), while waiting for their father to return home from the war. They spend their days putting on performances of plays that Jo writes for them, as she hones her craft and hopes to be a great writer. The story is told in reflection, as Jo looks back on her life and family and her hopes, dreams, loves and losses. 

This is a fantastic movie based on the novel. Directed by Greta Gerwig, it feels current and relevant while sticking to the original time period and story. The cast brings the movie to life and it is just a joy to watch. Saoirse Ronan is so good in this film. I loved everything about this movie. One of my favorites of 2019. And, the Husband really liked it, too so it is not just a chick flick. Go see it!!!
