Wendy (Patricia Clarkson) is a New York writer who has always been career focused. When her neglected husband Ted (Jake Webber) informs her that he is leaving her, she is beside herself. She never saw it coming. When her college-age daughter Tasha (Grace Gummer) invites her up for a visit, Wendy realizes that she relied on Ted for quite a few things in her life, especially driving. She decides to take driving lessons and hires Darwan (Ben Kingsley) a devout Sikh, as her instructor. He has a few marriage issues of his own dealing with an arranged marriage to Jasleen (Sarita Choudhury). Even though they are from two different worlds, as they come together for driving lessons, they each learn a little more about themselves and are able to take charge and move forward with their lives.

I really liked this movie. It is charming and funny. It isn't a flashy movie but Patricia Clarkson and Ben Kingsley are both terrific. It is interesting to see into the respective lives of two very different people and watch how they are able to relate and form a bond with one another anyway. And, did I mention that it is funny, too. And touching. I really enjoyed it so go see it!!
