Jean Reno is Alexandre Lagarde, a famed chef with a 3 Star rating. When a new CEO takes over the restaurant group, he is determined to bring Alexandre down a star so that he can hire a new chef specializing in molecular cuisine (don't ask what this is, it does not look very appetizing). Alexandre is determined to do what it takes to create an exciting new spring menu and keep his 3 stars. He finds an aspiring chef, Jacky Bonnot (Michael Youn), who is currently painting houses because he can't seem to get along in anyone's kitchen and enlists his help.  Chaos ensues but Alexandre, Jacky and a group of misfits work together to create a new and exciting menu. Of course, they also begin to love to cook again. Can they save Alexandre's stars and create food that people love again?

This movie is very cute. The molecular food looks horrible and if I ever hear of a restaurant that serves it, I will avoid that place like the plague. But, it is pretty funny watching these guys try to come up with new food ideas. The comedy is pretty broad but done in a fairly restrained way. I liked the cast and I enjoyed that they really appreciated what they were able to create in the kitchen. If you like foreign films, this is a pretty fun one.
