Four teenagers in detention discover an ancient video game. Soon, they are sucked into the game. Spencer (Alex Wolff) becomes Dwayne Johnson, Fridge (Ser'Darius Blain) becomes Kevin Hart, Martha (Morgan Turner) becomes Karen Gillan and Bethany (Madison Iseman) becomes Jack Black. Hilarity ensues as they adjust to their new bodies and skill sets. Then, they discover that you don't play Jumanji to win, you play to survive. They are off on the adventure of a lifetime. They must survive the jungle, wild animals and other perils, replace a missing stone in an ancient ruin and hope to make it out alive. Because if they don't, they will be stuck in the game forever.

This movie is action-packed and pretty funny. The sight gags alone are great. Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are always funny, especially playing off of each other. Jack Black was pretty humorous, too playing a hot teenage girl in his middle-aged, plus-sized body! Ha. If you remember the original with Robin Williams, this one is a little different but just as entertaining. Good for the whole family (maybe not little kids, but everyone else). Not a bad way to spend two hours. Go see it.
