Based on the '80's cartoon of the same name, this is the story of Jerrica (Aubrey Peeples), a young woman from a small town who finds fame singing on social media under the name of Jem. She and her sisters catapault into the spotlight under the tutelage of manager Erica Raymond (Juliette Lewis). But, Erica only wants Jem and Jem must make the hard decision whether to remain loyal to her sisters or branch out on her own. With a little bit of help from her dead father, who provides guidance through an invention he left behind before he died, Jem is able to hold onto what is important in life and share her special talent with the world.

This movie is clearly aimed at tweens. It is harmless and cute. The music is actually the best part because the songs are well produced and very catchy. But, the plot is pretty lame. If you have a pre-teen who wants to see it, they will probably like it. Otherwise, skip it.
