Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) has been living a life off the grid, just trying to get by and forget his past. When Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles) shows up, everything changes. She is trying to expose the C.I.A. and the whole Treadstone operation. She draws Jason Bourne back into the game as he tries to figure out what really happened in his past and who is still calling the shots today.

This is an action packed movie from start to finish. Director Paul Greengrass is back and the film is great to look at. The action sequences are fast, frenetic and pretty amazing. Even the surveillance technology is awesome. The only problem is that the plot is a little lacking. Too much action and not enough heart. I really like these characters but what I have always liked the most is that these movies are so smart. They keep you guessing. In this installment, you do learn a little more about Jason's past but the rest is just long car chases - really long. Though superbly filmed, they get just a tad tedious. So, overall it was nice to see Julia Stiles and Matt Damon back. Nice addition of Alicia Vikander to the C.I.A. cyber staff. And, Tommy Lee Jones was great as the C.I.A. Director. The movie just lacked a little something that kept it from being as good as the first three installments (Bourne wasn't even in the fourth one so that doesn't count). If you are a fan, you will still want to see it. It is good, just not great.
