Riley is a happy, young girl. When her family moves to San Francisco, she is suddenly faced with a new school, new friends and even a new room. Her emotions (Joy, Fear, Disgust, Sadness and Anger) have always leaned more toward Joy. Until the move. At that point, her emotions begin to face turmoil. From the headquarters in her brain, they begin to clash with each other and in an accident, Joy and Sadness are lost for a while. This causes unexpected consequences in her outward feelings. Will Joy and Sadness be able to find their way back to headquarters to once again return Riley to her happy and healthy self?

This movie was far better than I anticipated. It was pretty amazing the way that an animated film was able to depict a human brain and it's memory, emotions and even subconscious thought in a physical way. It was funny and imaginative. The kids will laugh but, it is just as good for adults. It is fascinating and really strikes a chord emotionally. It makes you think about your own emotions and what makes your brain tick. Even TRNRJOE liked it after he got over the fact that he was watching an animated film. It is just so clever and unique. The voice talent (Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Lewis Black, Bill Hader, Phyllis Smith, etc..) was fantastic. So, go see it! And, stay through the credits to see some hilarious scenes, especially those involving the animals. So funny and true!
