Runs 121 minutes

Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), renowned Harvard symbologist, is back. This time he wakes up in an Italian Hospital with a head injury and amnesia. Before he is even fully awake, a gunman shows up and he and Dr. Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones) flee. When they get to her apartment, they discover a laser device in his pocket which starts them on a journey to try to prevent an evil plot involving population control, the World Health Organizaton and Dante's Death Mask. Bertrand Zobrist (Ben Foster) leaves them clues that take them from Italy to Istanbul in an attempt to foil his plot. Along the way, Elizabeth Sinskey (Sidse Babette Knudsen), an old flame of Robert's shows up to aid in solving the case. Can Robert save the world from Zobrist's evil plot?

If you have read the book as I have, then you might be a little disappointed in this film. It is fast-paced and jumps all over the place. But, I never felt the excitement of solving the case or the imminent danger. It was just a little confusing and I knew what was going on. The ending packed no punch and just left me feeling blah. Tom Hanks was as good as ever but I wasn't that excited about the movie overall. Maybe see a matinee.
