Jill's Review

Opens April 19, 2019

Runs 113 minutes

A group of felons has agreed to be the subjects of reproductive experiments held in space. Dibs (Juliette Binoche) is leading the experiments. She is attempting to impregnate the girls using the turkey-baster method with the males supplying the sperm donations. A baby is produced but then tragedy strikes the space ship. Monte (Robert Pattison) and the baby are left to fight for survival far from home.

The premise of this film was really interesting. However, the movie just doesn't really work. The whole film is told in flashbacks so there is no spoiler here - it starts off with just Robert Pattison and the baby. It takes quite a while to piece everything together. But, there are way too many plot holes. There are plenty of characters but there is very little dialogue and you are left wondering about all of these people, what crimes they committed and why they went on this mission in the first place. It could have been a lot better. I would say you should give this one a pass.
