Doris (Sally Field) is an introvert and has lived with her Mother for her entire life. Upon her Mother's death she is feeling adrift. Her brother wants her to clean out the house and sell it, but it is the only home she has ever known. She has worked at the same company forever but she is almost unknown to her colleagues. When a new manager John (Max Greenfield) arrives, Doris is very taken with him. After attending a self-help seminar with her friends, she summons the courage to try to romantically pursue John. The only problem is that John is a much younger man. Her friends think she is crazy, but the thirteen year-old niece of her best friend Roz (Tyne Daly) is more than happy to help her get set up on Facebook and stalk John. She discovers what he likes and soon they become friends. But, for John it is just friends and Doris is not very good at reading the signs. Will she have her heart broken or will she finally get the courage to move on with her own life?

I loved this movie. The whole movie is very light-hearted, even when Doris is stalking John. Sally Field is really good. Who knew she could be so funny? The whole cast is really great. The second half of the film is a little more serious as it deals with Doris's hoarding issues and finally selling the house but overall the whole movie is light and just works. When Doris is putting the moves on John, you definitely take a step back, but in today's day, who knows?? If you want a light and funny rom-com ish movie, this is definitely worth checking out! Go see it!
