For forty years, Michael Myers (Nick Castle/ James Jude Courtney) has been locked up. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) has been suffering ever since that fateful night when he stalked through her hometown, killing 6 people. She has been living in a bunker, getting ready for the day that Michael Myers returns to finish the job of killing her. She is estranged from her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak). They think she is unhinged. But, on Halloween, Michael Myers is moved from one prison to another and you guessed it, he escapes. Now, he is back in town on the craziest night of the year to finish the job he didn't complete all those years ago.

If you were a fan of the original Halloween all those years ago, then you will like this one. It is a true slasher film. Nacho Kim must have screamed and jumped out of her chair three or four times. This film is a true sequel to the original. Laurie has been waiting for this day for forty years. Everyone else thinks she is off her rocker, but she is the only one prepared when Michael returns. It was fun to see Jamie Lee Curtis back in her original role. I love horror films so I enjoyed this one. There is lots of blood and there are several creative deaths. There is also a pretty funny babysitting scene. The little kid Julian (Jibrail Nantambu) is hilarious. Anyway, if you like horror films, then this one is pretty good. Go see it.
