Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) steals an Orb and becomes the most wanted man in the galaxy. He is thrown together with Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldano), Rocket (Voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Voiced by Vin Diesel), who all want the Orb for their own reasons. When Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) comes after them to steal back the Orb, this band of misfits must work together to save the world. They become the Guardians of the Galaxy.

This movie is very tongue-in-cheek funny. No one takes themselves too seriously and it really makes this movie a lot of fun. There are plenty of other cameos/small parts played by very famous people. It is amusing seeing these actors having a good time. But, the main characters really make the movie. Chris Pratt is perfect in the role of Peter Quill. He is hilarious. Bradley Cooper is really funny as Rocket but I was particularly taken with Dave Bautista as Drax. I thought he might be stiff, but he was really funny. And, who would have thought that a tree that only says 3 words could be so funny. Anyway, this is a pretty entertaining movie. I saw it in IMAX 3D and it was probably worth it because there was a lot going on in this galaxy and it was nice seeing it in the large format. There will definitely be a sequel, so go see this one for sure!!
