Runs 79 minutes

Elle (Lily Tomlin) has just broken up with her girlfriend Olivia (Judy Greer) when her granddaughter Sage (Julia Garner) shows up at her door in need of $600. It seems that 18 year-old Sage is pregnant and needs to get an abortion and her appointment is in a matter of hours. Elle doesn't have the funds, so she and Sage set out to try to collect from old flames and friends alike, stirring up memories and past resentments. This is a crazy road trip that bridges the generations and brings Elle and Sage closer together.

This movie is funny and touching (if you can really say that about an abortion movie). I had hoped for a more positive outcome but it was still a well-acted and funny film. Lily Tomlin is just hilarious as the unfiltered Grandma. She isn't afraid to tell it like it is. And, Sam Elliott as a past flame was really good. If nothing else, it is worth seeing this film just for Lily Tomlin's performance. I'm sure she will be rewarded during the awards season. Go see it.
