Runs 127 minutes

The throne of the Kingdom is being passed down to Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), a lazy but decent god. That is until Set (Gerard Butler) angry at being passed over, steals control of the throne and sends Horus into exile. As all of Egypt descends into chaos, Bek (Brenton Thwaites), a Mortal, schemes with his girlfriend Zaya (Courtney Eaton) to rescue Horus and help him regain the throne.

This wasn't as bad as I was expecting - it's not that good either. It is a big budget movie and it looks good. Don't bother with the 3D. I did enjoy seeing Gerard Butler and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in extra large size and shirtless! That accounted for a whole extra star in my review - Ha!! Good points - the movie is fast-paced, has great special effects and is suitable for the family. The bad points - it has a weak plot, weak dialogue and some annoying characters. So, if you don't have any other plans, it might be worth a matinee. Otherwise, you could probably skip it.
