Runs 116 minutes

In 2011, Glen Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Together with his family, he decided to embark on a Farewell tour and film it for this documentary. This is a powerful account of his public admission of his disease and how it affects all of the people around him. He makes the brave decision to go public - one of the first celebrities to face this head on and in public - and he heads out on a 3 week Farewell tour with the cameras rolling. The tour eventually turns into a 151-show Nationwide Tour. Along the way, he meets with his doctors, performs his shows and slowly fades just a little. The music always seems to bring him to life, but sometimes the words elude him. It is very heart-breaking when it is finally time for the tour to end.

This is a fabulous movie. It is heart-wrenching to see how the disease slowly affects his ability to fully handle his day-to-day life. Luckily, he has his wife and family by his side and he is able to handle the situation with good grace and humor. Various celebrities show up to talk about what Glen meant to them and to Country music. It is very touching and the music is still great! One of my favorite documentaries this year.
