David Dunn (Bruce Willis) is still using his unusual abilities to track down the bad guys. Dressed in a hooded jacket, he "walks" the streets, bumping into strangers trying to get a read on who might be a criminal. When a new set of young girls go missing, David sets out to see what he can find out and quickly discovers that it is Kevin Wendall Crumb (James McAvoy), a perpetrator suffering from multiple identity disorder, who has them. A battle between foes leads them to being captured and institutionalized in the same asylum as Elijah Price - "Mr. Glass" (Samuel L. Jackson) who has been there for a while. Soon, they all learn that Dr. Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson) has arranged for them to be there to be a part of her study. She is an expert on people who really believe they have super powers. Well, these three may be more than she bargained for as they attempt to escape and take their revenge.

This is the third installment in a loose trilogy by M. Night Shyamalan. (Just as a side note, if you haven't seen the previous films Unbreakable and Split, it might be helpful to watch them before you go. Although, I went with someone who hadn't seen them and she still had a good time.) The film is entertaining and keeps you guessing. It is a little deeper than his previous films - there are discussions about comic books and the universe and existence, things like that. All of the performances are great but James McAvoy gives the performance of his career. It is a brutal and physical performance. It left me exhausted just watching him. And, I don't see how he kept all of the different personalities straight. He is worth the price of admission! There is the usual "twist" at the end. I thought that was the weakest part of the film - it was just a little bit underwhelming. I was hoping for a little more. But, the film was still pretty good and if you are a fan of the previous films, then it is a must see! So, go see it.
