Runs 101 minutes

Ever since his sister passed away, Frank (Chris Evans) has been raising her daughter Mary (McKenna Grace). He has homeschooled her but now that she is entering first grade, he has enrolled her at the public school. Mary is hesitant but Frank thinks that his sister would have wanted Mary to have a normal childhood, with regular school and friends. Of course, on the first day, Mary's teacher Bonnie (Jenny Slate) realizes that Mary has a gift for mathematics. In fact, she is very gifted. Frank chooses to leave her where she is but ultimately word gets out and soon his mother Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan) is at the door with a court order. This leads to a troubling custody battle for a sweet, little girl who just wants to live with her uncle Frank.

This is a great movie. It is sweet, touching and funny. The girl who plays Mary is great. She is cute, sassy and very smart. Octavia Spencer plays a neighbor who loves Mary and she is as good as always. Apparently, Jenny Slate and Chris Evans started a relationship during the filming of this movie. They have a nice chemistry together. I really enjoyed this movie. It is entertaining and heart-warming. Go see it.
