Jill's Review

Opens March 25, 2016

Runs 83 minutes

Will (Miles Teller) and Jillian (Anna Kendrick) are recent college graduates. Jillian has a great job lined up and Will hopes to be writing for a magazine. When Will's job falls through, Jillian pushes him to accept a corporate position so that they can begin to move forward with their lives together. However, things don't always go according to plan. Will gets hit on by his boss (Marcia Gay Harden), Will's Dad (Bryan Cranston) loses his job and Jillian has to move in with Miles and his pothead roommates in order to save on rent. Meanwhile, the roommates have issues of their own. It seems that everyone is just trying to get by in this crazy world. And, get a job.

Apparently, this movie was made several years ago and has just now been released. I thought it was pretty funny. I probably liked it better than I should have. The plot is fairly lame and there is no way that these friends coud be such pothead video game playing losers and still hold down jobs, let alone eventually succeed. But, they are loveable losers who are just trying to make their way. The cast is better than the movie so it is fun watching them all make the best of it. Nacho Kim and I went to a matinee and had a good laugh. Then we went shopping. Maybe worth a DVD rental.
