Max (Jason Bateman) and Annie (Rachel McAdams) meet cute at a trivia contest and get married. Soon, they are hosting Game Night at their home on a weekly basis. Their friends Kevin (Lamorne Morris), Michelle (Kylie Bunbury) and Ryan (Billy Magnussen) - with his date of the week - show up regularly. When Max finds out that his brother Brooks (Kyle Chandler) is in town - Brooks, the better looking and more successful brother, Max feels the need to step up his game. But, Brooks has upped the ante with a special game night he has arranged. Someone will be kidnaped and it is up to the rest of the group to find them and win the prize. Only, it seems that maybe this isn't a game afterall and the stakes may be life or death. Can the friends solve the murder mystery before it is too late?

This movie is silly funny. Justin Bateman and Rachel McAdams are up for anything. They are particularly hilarious in the bullet scene. The Husband and I were giggling - a lot!. The whole cast was really funny, especially Billy Magnussen and Lamorne Morris. Some of their running commentary just cracked me up. This is mostly a comedy but there is an action element when they begin Kyle Chandler's special Game Night. There are a few twists and turns. I thought I had it mostly figured out and I was mostly right. But, there were still a few surprises. And, did I mention that it was pretty funny. If you are lookikng for a funny date movie, then this might be for you. Some language and a little blood, but pretty tame. Go see it.
