Runs 100 minutes

This film follows Alex Honnold as he attempts to become the first person to climb El Capitan, a 3000 foot tall sheer rock wall in Yosemite, without ANY ropes, harnesses or safety nets of any kind. This is a dangerous and daring stunt that will rank him among the best climbers in the world if he can make it to the top alive.

This film is breathtaking. it is gorgeously filmed and it will leave you breathless. Alex is a little kooky. He is pretty much a loner and he lives in his van. Then he meets his girlfriend Sanni. She understands his need to climb but she struggles with the fact that climbing comes before everything. Alex doesn't see the problem. Jimmy Chin, a climber himself, agrees to film this event. At times, he and his team are so nervous they can't even watch as Alex climbs. The film will make you very nervous. You will barely be able to watch at some points because this is so dangerous. But, the photography is amazing. The camera soars up the mountain and you can feel the grandeur. It also makes your stomach drop and if you are afraid of heights, you might skip this movie. I loved it. ** SPOILER ALERT** I knew that he made the climb and didn't die (you can easily google it) and so that made it a little easier to watch. Go see it!!
