Runs 91 minutes

It's the last day of the school year and the kids are acting up. Senior pranks are everywhere - porn in the trophy case, a horse running loose in the halls, a mariachi band following the principal everwhere and other crazy things. And, teacher layoffs are happening right and left. Andy Campbell (Chalie Day) just wants to pass on a few lessons to his kids, survive his annual review (and keep his job), get to his daughter's talent show and await the arrival of his new baby. Mr. Strickland (Ice Cube) doesn't have time for these antics. He is trying to maintain order and show a video to his class so they can learn something, even on the last day. When a little incident with an axe leads to a meeting with Principal Tyler (Dean Norris), Campbell tries to save his job and Strickland is fired. He challenges Campbell to a fist fight after school to settle the score. Hilarity ensues.

This movie is pretty funny and the cast is certainly up for the craziness. All Ice Cube has to do his give someone his deadly stare and everyone is laughing. Charlie Day is always funny. He did a great job as the nerdy teacher just trying to keep his job. The rest of the cast - the female teacher wondering out loud if she should hook up with one of her legal-age students, the gym coach trying to prepare Charlie to get killed and the teacher with a big knife, were all amusing. I will say that I thought the language was once again over the top. This movie could have been just as entertaining rated PG-13. And, of course the students at this school were all juvenile delinquents! The teachers weren't much better. Still, it was funny and there was a subtle message about sticking up for yourself. So, overall if you like crude comedies, then this might be for you. Just be prepared, don't take the kids or your Mother.
