Runs 137 minutes

Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) are forced to work together to stop a genetically enhanced Brixton (Idris Elba) from getting a deadly virus which would threaten humanity as we know it. The only slight problem is that Hattie Shaw (Vanessa Kirby), Deckard's sister, has the virus and is on the run from Brixton. Can Hobbs and Shaw find Hattie, save her from the virus and keep Brixton from getting his hands on it?

This movie is hilarious. It is fast-paced and action-packed. Both Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are great. They throw out the put-downs and one-liners like pros. Idris Elba is fantastic as always. He adds a dose of class to the villain. And, Vanessa Kirby as Hattie, Shaw's sister, is a stand-out. She is crazy good in all of her fight scenes. I can't imagine having to fight "The Rock". I loved seeing Helen Mirren. She is so funny as Shaw's mother in prison. Overall, I had a great time at this movie. It is macho and funny. It is not understated in any way. Ha! My only quibble is that it seemed to run about 20 minutes too long. But, it is still a fun, summer popcorn flick. Go see it!
