Runs 102 minutes

Colonel Katherine Powell (Helen Mirren) heads up a multi-national operation to target and capture several terrorists in Kenya. These are bad guys who Col. Powell has been tracking for years. Intel points to a house in a dangerous neighborhood, where the #2, #4 and #5 most wanted terrorists are meeting. Everyone is ready and the "Eye in the Sky" directed by Lieutenant Steve Watts (Aaron Paul) in Nevada shows the targets are in place. As the capture team prepares to move in, the targets leave and are followed into a volatile neighborhood by the drone in the sky. Once they are identified, Col. Powell calls for a missile attack because an attempt to capture would be too dangerous. The only problem is that a young Somali girl moves into harm's way and they can all see her in the drone's surveillence and know that she has little chance of surviving a missile attack, no matter how targeted. As the decision is run further and further up the chain of command, the terrorists move closer and closer to carrying out their mission. Will General Frank Benson (Alan Rickman) be able to convince the Prime minister and the Attorney general that killing these three terrorists may be worth the collateral damage or is the loss of just one innocent life too much to pay in order to stop these potential suicide bombings?

The Husband and I loved this movie. It is a fast-paced thriller that reflects the minute-by-minute life-or-death decisions that must be made in times of war. Especially, a war that involves ruthless terrorists. The movie shows all of the moving parts that are involved in a mission like this. Who makes the final call? And, how much collateral damage is too much? This movie was just enthralling. No matter which side of the argument you fall on, this movie makes you think and leaves you wanting to talk about it after you leave the theater. Great film! Go see it!
