Jill's Review

Opens June 3, 2015

Runs 104 minutes

This movie picks up right after the last HBO episode. Ari (Jeremy Piven) is trying to enjoy his vacation/retirement. E (Kevin Connolly) and Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui) have broken up but are expecting their first baby. Vince's (Adrian Grenier) marriage lasted about a week and he is back on the market. Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) has actually amassed a fortune from his tequila investment. And Drama (Kevin Dillon) is still Drama. Ari can't stand not working anymore and accepts an offer to become a studio head. He immediately hires Vince to star in his first production. Of course, Vince decides he needs to direct the movie, too and they end up way over budget. This forces Ari to travel to Texas to try to get more money from his investors (Billy Bob Thornton and his son Haley Joel Osment). This leads to major disaster. Will the movie be a success? Will there be another sequel??

If you were a fan of the HBO series, you won't be disappointed. This movie is like visiting an old friend. The guys are still the same and Ari is still hilarious!! He just makes the movie. There are cameos galore - Russell Wilson, Ronda Rousey (hilarious), Armie Hammer and good old Lloyd (Rex Lee) etc... Some have a few lines. Some you might miss if you blink. But, it makes for an entertaining movie. I really liked the HBO series and I really liked the movie. I thought it was funny but I also liked that none of the guys really changed. Friends always come first with these guys. I say go see it!!
