Jill's Review

Opens February 16, 2018

Runs 107 minutes

Chloe (Marine Vacth) is a troubled 25 year old woman. She has been seeing a doctor for stomach pains and the doctor feels that the pain is psychosomatic. She refers Chloe to a psychoanalyst. Soon, Chloe is baring her soul to Dr. Paul Meyer (Jérémie Renier). But, the therapy must be discontinued when Paul develops feelings for Chloe. They move in together and for a while Chloe's symptoms recede. Eventually, they return and she returns to therapy, this time with Dr. Louis Delord (Jérémie Renier) - Paul's identical twin. But, all is not as it seems and soon Chloe is spiraling into a web of confusion and maybe delusion. Will she be cured or slide further into her own misinterpreted reality?

This movie is almost impossible to describe. As I read in another review, the only thing we know for sure is that Chloe is 25, goes to therapy and meets Paul. The rest could be a dream? A hallucination while under anesthesia? Something else? I know what I think. I liked this movie. It was intriguing and it kept me guessing. It really builds up suspense and there is almost a small horror element. I enjoyed it and just went with the craziness. It is NOT for anyone under 18 and it is not recommended for a first date. There are some very graphic scenes. But, if you like crazy thrillers, then this might be for you! Go see it.
