Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) is a trauma surgeon with a loving wife Lucy (Elizabeth Shue) and a smart and accomplished daughter Jordan (Camila Morrone) who is about to head off to college. His world is shattered when three armed robbers enter his home and viciously attack his wife and daughter. Realizing that law enforcement already has more cases than they can handle, Paul decides to take matters into his own hands.
Ok. I liked this movie. But it is very violent and graphic. Once I realized that Eli Roth directed it, it all made sense. There is definitely a sense of forboding and tension that builds until the very end of the film, almost like a horror movie. Bruce Willis was the perfect reluctant hero. The part fit him like a glove. it was nice to see Elizabeth Shue again, even in a smaller role. If you like movies where the hero takes justice into his own hands, then this is for you. I had a good time rooting for Bruce. Go see it.
