Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), the mutant mercenary, has been traveling the globe bringing his kind of justice to the bad guys. Back at home, he and Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) have been making baby plans. Then tragedy follows Deadpool to his door, leaving him longing for his own death. Only after he is sent to the Ice House, with a teenage mutant named Russell (Julian Dennison) for a cellmate, does he begin to come out of his funk. Now, Deadpool must round up a bunch of fellow misfit mutants to help stop the evil time-traveling Cable (Josh Brolin) from killing Russell.

Let's see...The Husband and I didn't think this was as good as the first Deadpool film. It is very funny. There are so many funny throwaway lines that you won't even be able to catch them all in just one viewing. But, that is also a negative. There is less heart and less plot in this film. It just seems like one joke after another. And, believe me some of them are pretty hilarious. But, that can still get a little old. There are a few touching moments. They somehow feel a little out of place in this crazy, foul-mouthed, fast-paced film. There are still ingenious ways to kill people and some funny cameos (look for Brad Pitt in a very funny 2 second cameo as Vanisher). However, overall we thought it lacked just a little of the heart that the original had. Still, it is worth seeing. The Wolverine jokes alone are priceless. And, stay for the credits. There are five more scenes and they are all funny. So, if you liked the first one, you will like this one. You just might feel like a little something is missing. Go see it.
