A group of friends from a pub in Wales join a syndicate and decide to breed their own racehorse. This was pretty much unheard of outside of the privileged racing circuit. Against all odds, Dream Alliance turns out to be a true thoroughbred. He faces his blue-blooded competitors with heart and spirit. But, does a horse with such humble origins have what it takes to win when all of the odds are stacked against him?

I didn't really know this story. I don't want to give anything away, but Dream Alliance turned out to be a wonderful racehorse, although he did face some ups and downs in his short racing career. This movie is sweet and emotional. It may even bring you to tears a few times. This unlikely group of friends pulled off the near impossible and for a while broke into a sport that is normally reserved for the privileged few. Rest assured that today Dream Alliance is  alive and well and living out his retirement in luxury. If you like a great underdog story, then this is for you. Go see it!
