Runs 100 minutes

Brad (Will Farrell) and Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) have the co-parenting thing down. They gladly share snack and carpool duties. They swap kids and weekends with ease. When the kids complain about having two Christmases, the Dads even agree to all have Christmas together. But, when Brad's dad Don (John Lithgow) and Dusty's dad Kurt (Mel Gibson) show up, all bets are off. The competition starts up and the shenanigans begin. Will Brad and Dusty realize that Christmas is really about family before it is too late?

I thought this movie was hilarious. The first one was proabaly just a little better since it was the original, but this one made me laugh a lot. The Husband and I were just looking for a goofy comedy and this fit the bill. Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell have a great chemistry together. Throwing John Lithgow and Mel Gibson into the mix just upped the ante. Mel was really funny as the super bad (and cool) granddad. And, John Cena was so funny. I hope to see more of him in Daddy's Home 3! Ha! This movie will not win any awards but if you just want to laugh and leave the theatre feeling good and happy, then this might do the trick. Go see it.
