Will Smith is Dr. Bennet Omalu, the neuro-pathologist who discovers that Professional Football players who endure head trauma during their playing days may end up with CTE, a terrible brain disease which can cause mood swings, confusion and even dementia. Some of these players committed suicide because they didn't understand what was happening to them and the NFL was only too happy to try to keep this out of the public domain. At great personal expense, Dr. Omalu brought CTE to light and eventually forced the NFL to face up to the dangers players face every time they take the field.

This is a very serious movie and Will Smith's performance is fantastic - he has already been nominated for various acting awards. I thought it was well-acted and engrossing. It was just a little slow. I guess I wanted it to be more explosive. But, it was good and tragic at the same time. Definitey worth seeing but not quite on par with Spotlight or The Big Short.
