Runs 110 minutes

Anne Hathaway is Gloria, a girl who lives with her boyfriend Tim (Dan Stevens), has been unemployed for a year and likes to party all night. Tim finally gives her the heave-ho and kicks her out of his apartment. With nowhere else to go, she returns to her hometown and moves into her parents empty, old house. She runs into Oscar (Jason Sudeikis) who owns the local bar and soon, she is back to her drinking ways. She even takes a job at the bar. But, she becomes distressed when she hears about a terrible Godzilla-like monster that is wreaking havoc in Seoul, Korea. Somehow she feels connected to what is happening. She stops drinking and begins to work out a way to stop the destruction. That is until Oscar throws a big wrench into her plans. Can Gloria redeem herself, save the people of Seoul and win back Tim's affection?

Ok - I liked this one more than I should have. I thought it was a great concept, very original and darkly funny. If you don't know anything about it, you might be a little surprised by the turn of events. But, just go with it. I thought Anne Hathaway did a nice job - although the director spent a lot of time on close-ups of her big eyes for some reason. Jason Sudeikis plays a mean drunk. Overall, I just thought it was different and interesting. It won't be for everyone but if you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary, this might be for you. Go see it.
