The legendary Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) has suddenly been overtaken by a new racer, the young and sleek Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer). His sponsor Sterling (Nathan Fillion) thinks it might be time for Lightning McQueen to retire. But, he isn't ready to hang up his tires just yet. Lightning McQueen, with the help of his trainer Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo), sets out to show Storm that he still has what it takes to be at the top of the racing world.

I figured by the third installment, they might just be phoning it in. Wrong. I really liked this movie. It makes you appreciate Pixar and all that they put into their animated films. The racing scenes were great. You forget you are even watching an animated film. It was funny and sweet and great to look at. Most of the old characters are back, including a few scenes flashing back to Doc (Paul Newman). Nice touch. I also liked the animated short before the film. It was called Lou and it was super creative and touching. Make sure you get there in time to see it. Loved Cars 3. It was better than I expected. Perfect for the whole family. Go see it.
