George (voiced by Kevin Hart) and Harold (voiced by Thomas Middleditch) are best friends. They are also big pranksters. They are constantly being reprimanded and sent to the Principal's office. Mr. Krupp (voiced by Ed Helms) doesn't find them funny at all because most of the pranks are at his expense. When he threatens to put them in separate classes, they hypnotize him into thinking he is a superhero - Captain Underpants. Hilarity ensues as they work with Captain Underpants to try to stop Professor Poopypants (voiced by Nick Kroll) from turning everyone into zombies who forget how to laugh.

Ok. I don't want to pick on a kid's movie so I'll just say that the kids in my screening were laughing and clapping and having a blast. These were very young children. I might have giggled a couple of times but this movie is for kids not adults. Unlike Boss Baby which I found to be hilarious, this movie had all kinds of bodily function jokes that grew kind of old. But, the kids seemed to love it and it is loud and colorful and pretty harmless. Maybe hire a babysitter to take your kids while you see something else. Ha.
