Ray LaPine (John Larroquette) manages a small camera shop at the mall. It is Christmas Eve 1994 and he is just trying to get through the day hoping to hear good news on an idea he is pitching to the owner of the film company that supplies his store. As he waits to hear about his pitch, he relects on past mistakes and his fellow co-workers also face various personal issues. All of them hope to remain relevant as film begins the transition to digital and their very livelihoods may be affected.

This is a very small, independent film. There are some recognizeable faces - John Larroquette, Cheryl Ladd and John Rhys-Davies and they give some nice performances but there isn't a whole lot to this film but these characters and their disappointment. It is interesting to watch what it was like when cameras and film were big gifts, right before the digital era began. That about sums up the film. Not a terrible movie but nothing to rush out to see.
