Jennifer Anniston is Claire Bennett, a physically and mentally injured woman, over-medicating herself to make it through each day. Her housekeeper, Silvana (Adriana Barraza) feels so sorry for her that she cooks her dinner and drives her around like a chauffeur. Claire attends a support group and becomes determined to learn why another member of the group, Nina (Anna Kendrick) committed suicide. Gradually, we learn Claire's backstory as she slowly starts to climb out of her hole of grief and face the world again.
I really liked this movie. Jennifer Anniston was great - no make-up, mousy hair and an acerbic sense of humor. Even addicted to pain killers she was sympathetic. As the story unfolds, you can really feel the pain of her injuries, both mental and physical. It is a heart-wrenching movie, but it is also darkly funny and touching. The housekeeper is especially good. The relationship between the two of them is something special. Loved it and you should go see it!
