Runs 113 minutes

It is 1987 and Bumblebee is sent to Earth to hide out from the Decepticons. He has been staying out of sight at the junkyard, disguised as a VW Bug. That is until Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) brings him home on her 18th birthday. She soon learns that this VW Bug is much more than a car. And, before you know it, she has bonded with Bumblebee and will do anything to see that he isn't harmed.

Ok, I admit that I liked this movie. I am not that big of a Transformers fan. Normally, they are plotless, way too loud and feel like being inside of a video game. This movie is much more relatable. It focuses more on Charlie's relationship with Bumblebee. There is plenty of action at the beginning and the end of the film but the middle is sweet and funny. Hailee Steinfeld makes it watchable. She is still hurting after her Dad's death and can't seem to snap out of her funk. Bumblebee brings her back to life as she helps him fulfill his destiny to protect the inhabitants of Earth from the Decepticons. The film is very age appropriate and there are only a couple of bad words. It is even sweet to see her start to develop a relationship with the boy next door. Believe it or not, it might even make you shed a few tears at the end. I realy liked it and it is great for the whole family. Surprise - Go see it.
