Runs 100 minutes

James (Kyle Mooney) was abducted at birth and has been living in an underground bunker with his "parents" Ted (Mark Hamill) and April (Jane Adams) for 25 years. They created Brigsby Bear, a walking, talking, life-size bear and made years and years of home movies using Brigsby to teach James about everything. In these videos, Brigsby Bear fights the evil Sun Snatcher and learns math and other things along the way. James lives for his weekly Brigsby Bear videos. His world is turned updside down when the FBI raids the bunker and James is reunited with his birth family in the real world. James has a hard time adjusting to life on the outside and soon learns that Brigsby Bear was made up just for him and does not really exist. With the help of friends and family, James decides to finish the Brigsby Bear saga so he can move on with his life.

I thought the idea of this film was pretty creative but the execution was weak. It was funny but not that funny. And, it felt like it was low budget or something. I know that was because the Brigsby Bear videos were meant to be "homemade" but it just made the whole film feel a little cheap. The cast was fine. Nothing to write home about. I would skip this one.
