Runs 116 minutes

In 2015, John Smith (Marcel Ruiz) fell through the ice on Lake Saint Louis. He was underwater for more than 15 minutes. Once at the hospital, CPR was perfomed on him for 27 minutes. He never had a pulse. His mother Joyce (Chrissy Metz) was allowed into his room to say her goodbyes. However, she prayed as loudly as she could begging for the Holy Spirit to revive her child. After being dead for nearly an hour, John regained a weak pulse. Then, together with the best drowning specialist Dr. Garrett (Denis Haysbert), the entire church and the community praying for John, he began the road to recovery. By all medical logic, this coud only be deemed a miracle.

This movie will appeal to its Christian target audience. The acting is fine (although the dialogue can be a little weak). I thought Chrissy Metz was perfect as the never wavering Mom who just knew that with the Grace of God, her son would recover. Josh Lucas seemed to be there just to earn a paycheck. Topher Grace was good as the pastor. I enjoyed the music. There were some really nice Christian songs. Overall, this movie probably won't appeal to the secular crowd but it is a perfect film for families and couples who enjoy faith based films. So, if that is you, then go see it.
