Dwight (Macon Blair) is homeless and minding his own business. He lives in his car, the Blue Ruin of the titie. He collects cans for money and cooks fish on a campfire. Then he receives devasting news and everything changes. The story rolls out in bits and pieces as he plots revenge for the man who ruined his life. This journey turns out to be more complicated than it first appeared. Revenge is not always the best solution.
This is a very low budget thriller. But, I really liked it. There is despair and suspense. You can relate to Dwight and you might find yourself asking what you would do if put into this situation. This is an action film, but only in small spurts. It is also a little unpredicatable. Definitely worth a look.
