After the events of Captain America: Civil War, we find T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) returning home to Wakanda to be named the new King. As King, he is charged with becoming the "Black Panther" and guarding the secrets of Wakanda, a hidden land thought to be inhabited by poor farmers but really the most technologically advanced nation in the world. But soon the outside world intervenes and T'Challa is forced to team up with CIA agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) to protect his land from Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), a man with ties to Wakanda who is bent on revenge. He wants to steal Wakanda's natural resources to carry out his own evil plot. With the help of the Dora Milaje, a team of female warriors led by Okoye (Dania Gurira) and his sister Shuri (Letitia Wright), Black Panther must overcome impossible odds to save his homeland and prevent Wakanda's natural resources from being used for evil in the world.

This is a solid installment in the Marvel Avengers Series. Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan are both great (and they both looked like they had the same trainer - they were in awesome shape!). The rest of the cast was really good, particularly Letitia Wright and Danai Gurira. I thought Wakanda was very well realized. I thought there was a nice blend between real world and sci-fi action. Although, every time I saw their spaceship, I thougnt the lights looked like an alien face on the bottom of it. Ha! And, sometimes the fight scenes seemed to drag on just a little too long. I loved the rhinoceroses. They were really cool. Overall, a nice origin story for the Black Panther. There is quite a bit of violence but I think it is still ok for most kids over 10 or so if they are big Avenger fans. Make sure you stay until the bitter end for a couple of additional scenes. Now, go see it.
