DisneyNature's newest film follows Mama Bear Sky and her two brand new bear cubs, Amber and Scout, through their first year of life. Close up cameras allow you to see the babies right after they are born bonding with their mother burrowed in their den awaiting the end of winter. Once it is warm enough, the bears venture out and the cubs follow their hungry mama as she leads them to their feeding ground and eventually teaches them how to catch salmon.

Wonderfully narrated by John C. Reilly, this is a beautiful film.  It does show the bears in their natural habitat and they do face some of their natural predators, but no bears were harmed in this film. (I have a hard time watching animals get hurt!)  I loved this movie.  It truly makes you appreciate the vast pristine territory where these bears roam.  The camera work is amazing. As you can see during the credits, the filmmakers were right in front of these bears.  Pretty awesome.  Go see it!!
