Superman (Henry Cavill) is a hero to many but the destruction he has brought to Metropolis causes many to see him as a threat, including Batman (Ben Affleck). A bitter rivalry forms between the two that eventually leads to a deadly showdown. But, an even greater danger lurks in the background for Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) has created Doomsday - a monster that threatens the destruction of the entire world. Soon Batman and Superman realize that Doomsday can only be defeated if they set aside their differences and work together. They must also accept the help of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) if they hope to save Gotham and Metropolis from annihilation.

Ok - this movie was better than I expected. I am not a comic book junkie so I really don't have a good feeling for the lore of the whole Batman and Superman series. When I heard that they would be enemies, I wasn't so exited about the movie. Anyway, it turned out better than I expected. It is still dark and violent. The build-up to the big fight between Batman and Superman is tension packed. The fight scene is pretty awesome. And, when they finally team up, you are relieved and excited by the possibility of what they can achieve together. Throw in Wonder Woman and that just makes it better. Lex Luthor is a crazy, rambling enemy and his creation creates total havoc and destruction. I thought Ben Affleck was an okay Batman (better than I expected anyway) and Henry Cavill still looks great as Superman. I will admit that I shed a few tears at the ending. I only hope that the slight wink to the future holds true. Don't bother staying through the credits, there is no bonus scene - disappointing. Overall, an entertaining film. Too long and just a tad too dark but great atmosphere and pretty great cast. If you are a fan of the Marvel films, then go see it for sure!
