It's been over 10 years since we have caught up with Calvin (Ice Cube) and the guys at the Barbershop. Now, the shop is co-ed, with the ladies working right along side of the men. Old Eddie (Cedric the Entertainer) is still the king of the barbershop, while some of the original guys have moved on to bigger and better things. The problem is that the neighborhood is becoming overrun with gang violence and Calvin is questioning whether it is safe to stay in this location. They must come together to work out a way to save the shop and the neighborhood.

This is a pretty decent film. Parts of it are really funny. But, some of it is really serious considering the actual gang violence that Chicago faces. I guess I was hoping for a little lighter movie but I think they did a good job with the subject matter. Anthony Anderson and his "Gangster Grub" was pretty funny. The large cast worked well together and the ending was hopeful. If you liked the first two Barbershop movies, then you will probably like this one. Just not quite as funny as the first two.
