Baby (Ansel Elgort) is the angel-faced getaway driver for criminal mastermind Doc (Kevin Spacey) and his crew. You see, Baby made a mistake in his youth and now he must drive for Doc in order to repay his debt. He also suffers from tinnitus in his ears as a result of a childhood accident. Thus, Baby lives his life according to a soundtrack, with ear buds constantly in his ears to block out the ringing. He longs for the day when he has repaid his debt and he can move far away with his lovely girlfirend Debora (Lily James). But, Doc lures him back in for a final job with a big payout. Griff ( John Bernthal), Buddy (Jon Hamm) and Darling (Elza Gonzalez) are counting on Baby's skill behind the wheel to pull off this daring heist. Only, this crew is becoming more and more unstable and Baby can feel things falling apart. Can Baby save the day and drive off into the sunset with Debora?

This movie has a "wow" factor. The action is non-stop and fast-paced. The driving skills of the stunt drivers are just amazing. But, for once, the action doesn't drown out the story. You slowly learn Baby's back story and even see into his home life with his foster father (an excellent CJ Jones). Even though he has been forced into a life of crime, you see Baby's goodness and really pull for him to end up ok. Jon Hamm is phenomenal as Buddy, the psychopathic gangster who has no plans to go down easy. The whole cast is great and with a pulsing soundtrack, this film feels like pure adrenaline. The music is like a character in the film, with Baby choosing the songs to fit the action. Really fun and a little different than your normal heist film. There is language and violence, but overall Baby is the nice sweet center. Go see it.
