A dysfunctional family drama based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name with a stellar cast.  The Weston family is reunited when the patriarch goes missing, leading to confrontations and startling revelations. Meryl Streep, as the over-bearing mother and Julia Roberts, as her unhappy, controlling daughter are fabulous.   However, while the acting is master class, the story, while darkly funny, is a little depressing and the characters are very mean hearted.  Not a feel good movie.  Still, worth the time.
