Runs 143 minutes

Arthur (Jason Momoa) is half human/half from Atlantis, born on the surface to Queen Atlanna (Nicole Kidman ) and Tom (Temeura Morrison) a lighthouse keeper. When Atlanna is forced to return home to save the life of young Arthur, he remains behind to be raised by his father. But, soon Arthur is told of his true identity when Mera (Amber Heard) comes to warn him that his brother King Orm (Patrick Wilson) is up to no good and may be about to start a war with the surface world. Arthur must return home to save his people and become the true King of Atlantis.

Ok. I have to admit that I thought this movie looked pretty cheesy. And it is. But, it is also lots of fun. There is sweet romance between Atlanna and Tom (I love that he waits on the pier every day at Sunrise for 20 years, yearning for Atlanna to return to him - very romantic). It is action-packed. There is a lot of CGI and most of it is pretty cool. And, there is Jason Momoa! Who knew he was so hot? He is funny and athletic. He looks fabulous in his Aquaman suit! This movie is just pure fun. It keeps you interested (although, it is a little long) and it is great to look at. And, did I mention Jason Momoa..ha! I really liked him in this. Anyway, this is mindless entertainment that is fine for the whole family. I think there were maybe two bad words. It is very family- firendly. So, get the kids and just sit back and eat a bucket of popcorn and enjoy. Go see it.
