This is the story of the rise and fall of Amy Winehouse. Through home movies, taped concerts and interviews, Amy basically tells her own story from the time she was a cute teenager with a lot of talent until she eventually self-destructs and dies much too early at the age of 27.

This is an amazing documentary, but it is also dark and tragic. Amy was such a cute and talented girl. It is hard to watch as she slowly succumbs to drinking and drugs. You just want to yell at the screen for someone to help her. Once she marries Blake Fielder-Civil, things really get out of hand because he introduces her to heroin. There are several rehab attempts but no one holds her accountable. When she occasionally cleans up, her talent just shines through. I never really liked Amy Winehouse, but this movie gave me a new appreciation for her talent and what a waste it was that no one stepped in to help her. Very sad but worth seeing.
