Runs 115 minutes

TWA pilot Barry Seal (Tom Cruise) is recruited by the CIA to take surveillance photos over Central America. Before long, Barry is running drugs for the Medellin cartel, supplying weapons to the Contras and eventually, running for his life.

Based on a true story, this movie is getting very positive reviews. Tom Cruise is great as the confident and cocky Barry Seal. The movie is fast-paced and acrion-packed with plenty of humor. The Husband and I liked it but Tom sure seemed to be mugging for the camera a lot. And, sometimes the humor seemed a little over-the-top considering Barry Seal was dealing with a dangerous drug cartel and the beginning of what turned out to be the Iran-Contra Affair. But, I guess that is how the real Barry Seal was - confident and cocky and somewhat blind to the danger he and his family were facing. Anyway, it is an entertaining biopic based on an interesting time in America. So, maybe go see it.
